Jane Wilson, MA (she/her/hers)

Therapy Intern

I am currently an intern at Magnolia Connection, combining my background in education with a passion for mental health to support children and families. I hold a BA in Psychology and Elementary Education from the University of Iowa and an MA in Reading Instruction. After 16 years teaching elementary school, I became increasingly interested in the emotional aspects of development, which inspired me to pursue clinical training.

I am now working toward my M.S.Ed. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Buena Vista University and certification as a Registered Play Therapist through Heartland Play Therapy. My focus includes play therapy, attachment, neurodiversity-affirming practices, and holistic mental health approaches. I aim to create safe, inclusive spaces where children and families feel seen, supported, and empowered.

Outside of work and school, I enjoy spending time with my husband and kids, cycling, walking, reading, and playing the piano.
